Training, Commissioning, and Start-Up Assistance

Process plants are increasingly sophisticated, with automated process control that often requires no operator intervention.  When that control is unavailable or not working properly, your operators need to be able to take over.

ACD Process and Training Solutions provides your operators with an understanding of their process and procedures so that they can monitor the automated control and, if need be, to take control to operate manually. We can develop training content for your specific process.

Core Services

Training Content Development

This relies on functional descriptions of the process, P&ID's (piping and instrumentation diagrams, and vendor equipment documentation. Using this information  flowsheets and a narrative of your process are prepared. The training content is prepared in an HTML-format, which enables better navigation than a slideshow format.

Training

Training content is delivered to your operations, technical, and training personnel.  The training starts in-class to establish comprehension of the fundamentals of your process. This is supported by plant visits where the classroom training supports a better understanding of the process.

Start-Up Assistance

Commissioning and start-up assistance is available. This includes microtraining done as required. Microtraining is a brief session, using "chalkboard" content or computer-baaed content, which forms the basis of a 10 to 15-minute lesson designed to focus on establishing a better understanding of a particular part of the plant process.
